55th Chestnut Festival in San Mauro di Saline

For an autumn taste of the Lessinia, head up to San Mauro di Saline: the chestnut festival brings local produce, market stalls and music together for a weekend celebration.

55th Chestnut Festival in San Mauro di Saline

The official programme lists food stands and roasted and fresh chestnuts on both days. Saturday includes music, inflatables and a tribute concert; Sunday features stalls, lunch, a parade and the “Marrone San Mauro” competition awards. Activities are held under covered tents.

Admission is free, with parking listed near the cemetery. Food stands charge separately. October can be cooler in the Lessinia than in Verona, so bring a jacket and check for updates from the Pro Loco.
